Christopher Alvord, COOP Systems Founder, CEO, CBCP, MBCI - - Senior Executive in the consulting and technology businesses for 25+ years in the government, telecom, energy and finance sectors.
Mr. Alvord designed an industry leading web based BCM software package, has led numerous large scale projects, has achieved CBCP and MBCI status with DRII and BCI, and publishes and presents widely. In BCM, he co-developed an extensive continuity planning curriculum and is an Adjunct Professor at NYU and the USDA Graduate School.
He has published numerous articles in continuity planning, including pieces in New European Economy, CEO Today, FST Europe, Continuity Insights, and DRJ Magazine. Conference presentations include DRJ, CPM, CI, ACP, NEDRIX, and several ACP chapters. He has been widely quoted in the media, including at CNN Money, Fox Business, CIO Online, Computerworld, Network World, Infoworld, IT World and Market Watch.
Mr. Alvord has a BA from Harvard College, MBA from Harvard Business School, and has completed doctoral course work at Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
