Vicki Ellis - Operations Manager, ABCP
Ms. Ellis is an experienced manager with 20+ years of organizing, financial planning, and supervisory experience in Politics, Entertainment and Real Estate. She has planned and implemented innovative business change and advanced financial control systems for several companies.
Ms. Ellis' recent continuity planning efforts include designing and executing a COOP exercise session for one of the largest departments of the federal government and co-authoring the continuity plan for a Washington, DC agency. She co-wrote business continuity plans for four Virginia secretariats and conducted exercises for several state agencies. She assisted with the sheltering effort for the Commonwealth of Virginia for Katrina refugees at Fort Pickett, Blackstone, Virginia, helping to stand up and stand down shelters for up to 1,000 evacuees, planning to utilize Virginia state staff of 250 to provide housing, social services, education and job placement to evacuees.
Ms. Ellis worked for over ten years in the independent movie industry, as a producer, production manager and accountant. She also held accounting and controller positions for Imagine Films and Reel EFX, both in Los Angeles. Prior to the film industry, she had senior financial control positions for insurance, retail and real estate companies.
Ms. Ellis' experience includes full-time organizational work for a range of political initiatives, including the Bush for President Campaign in New Hampshire and Virginia. She serves on the Executive Board of the Virginia Federation of Republican Women.
Ms. Ellis' volunteer work includes a position of Volunteer Coordinator for the Fairfax County Medical Reserve Corps. She is also Chairman of the Advisory Board of Project Discovery, a program of the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Education, to encourage students to achieve educational excellence and pursue a college education. Ms. Ellis has recently established a foundation, Friends of Project Discovery, to aid the graduating students of Project Discovery.
Ms. Ellis is a certified planner and a charter member of the International Consortium for Organizational Resilience (ICOR). She attended the University of Texas in Austin.
