Gary Villenueve
Gary R. Villenueve is a prominent certified continuity planner with extensive experience in government projects. He is currently owner and President of Business Continuance Professionals, Inc. at www.bizcontinuancepros.com. His responsibilities have included six Defense Enterprise Computing Centers (DECCs) and their detachments, the Defense Information Processing Center (DIPC), and the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NCTS).
His thirty years of experience include the following:
- Proven ability to provide guidance and oversight in developing, maintaining, and testing large Department of Defense (DoD) data center Continuity Plans, able to devise recovery procedures and put them into practice.
- Knowledgeable in applying effective technology solutions for business continuity problems. Lead in the implementation of System Image Capture (Electronic Vaulting) DoD project, and participated in Data Replication (disk mirroring) DoD project.
- Skilled in determining developing hardware and software requirements for disaster recovery sites.
- Accomplished ability as a contingency planner, trainer, data center manager, database administrator, computer specialist and university professor. Experience spans both private sector and government.
Gary has a Master's Degree in Systems Analysis/Business and a Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) certification. He is a member of the Association of Contingency Planners (ACP), Colorado Rocky Mountain Chapter (CRMC) and an Advisory Board Member of Private and Public Businesses, Incorporated (PPBI). He has taught disaster recovery classes and made presentations at conferences and seminars. He has Top Secret clearance.
