COOP Consulting And NYU Announce Business Continuity Curriculum Partnership

McLEAN, Va., May 17, 2004 - COOP Consulting today announced a partnership with NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) to teach an Introduction to Business Continuity Planning.  The first class is scheduled to start on September 22, 2004.

Since the start of its training series in mid-2002, COOP Consulting has taught large numbers of students in the National Capital Region and Northern California.  COOP Consulting’s training, delivered in both private and public venues, is designed for practitioners with some business or technology management experience.

The structure is as follows:

* The Professional Practices are covered completely.

* Both private sector and public sector standards are covered.

* Lecture, exercises and video formats are used.

“We have become one of the larger suppliers of training programs to public and private sector students.  Especially gratifying has been the repeat business and high grades given for teaching,” said Chris Alvord, CEO of COOP Consulting. “When partnered with a high quality university like NYU, it adds additional value to the student’s experience.”

“COOP Consulting’s Introduction to Business Continuity Planning course is a great addition to our Homeland Security curriculum,” said Howard Greenstein, a Director in The Center for Management of NYU’s SCPS. “Along with our other courses in the series, we now have a curriculum unmatched in the tri-state area.”
